Our Beloved Lecturer: Part 2

This our very awesome, cool lecturer named Dr Myo Wint Zaw. He is also came from Myanmar like Dr San Aye and both of them very close.

Previously, he teaching medical school in Penang, and he is teaching Biochemistery. Apart from that he also canteached Physiology and Immunology. All of Shahputra medical doctors are very talented not only for one subject.

During his lecture, the ways of his explanation absolutely fantastic. He is very genius and compassionate. 

He always lift your spirit by just saying "Dont worry". He pushed u to study by just saying "You need to study else you will fail in semester exam". u will study hard to get in his A lists students.

This is another doctor of Shahputra medical school. His name is Dr Mohamed Abdel Rahman. He is came from Sudan, but married with Kelantannese. 

He is very fatherly and friendly. He always giving us motivation and inspiring word to us right after the lecture so that we never give up easily, as we know that learning medical knowledge is not an easy task. 

When we become a doctor we are dealing with people lives not with a machine or dead things

Do you guys want to know who is this little cute doctors ? Her name is Dr Tin Htay Khine. She is teaching Pharmacology, her knowledge to drug is very outstanding.

She is able to name all kind of drug and its function. The way of her teaching during the lecture is like when she is explaining something in front of the lecture hall, you just automatically focus and and you are almost can absorb 100%.

She also always remind us that Pharmacology is one of the subject that medical students need to know more because if a doctor gave wrong drugs to the patients, title or license as a doctor might be destroyed

Gabungan Persatuan Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS)

Gabungan Persatuan Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS) is an NGO that is represented by the Malay students semenanjung and now Sabah and Serawak also.Presiden now is Jais Abdul Karim, who was replacing the previous president Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican on 23 November 2009.

Now Shahputra student already involved in this NGO association as an active member start from this year, 2014.  We’re very glad to welcome GPMS association to our campus and also asking any invitation program if have, after this.

Last month, GPMS invite us (Shahputra student) to join their dinner near Teluk Chempedak, Kuantan. In short, as usual some spiritual talk are held at MPK hall after dinner session by this awesome man

Dr Hamzaid is a founder of Alpha Technology College, Seremban. His talk’s just kind of spiritual lift and sometimes  touch political point. Here some point that we get from him

• Malay student should improve their english no matter how hard it is.
• Undergraduated Malay student should focus on private sector instead of gov.
• Political in Malaysia already in trouble? Chinese race already control our economy? Stop blamed them ! Just focus on your productivity, try being a richer people  instead of asking some subsidy.

MBBS SHAHPUTRA PROFILING SESSION

Our profiling session take place during Ramadhan month, last year. It seem so scared for me as i'm kind of newbies in Kuantan, specific in Shahputra Campus.

For this profiling session, student should wear a formal and smart dress (include tie and black shoes). For girl, appropriate dress is quiet importance.

Before came for profiling, We already being told to bring some importance document related our qualification in order to apply MBBS program.  The profiling just start sharp at 8.30am inside shahputra MBBS office.

As expected, there are so many new student came to apply this course. Then, student are asking to gather at room provided before their turn’s came. So, basically this is the best time to asking, chat and know each other, where he/she came from.etc, etc.

When my name being call up, I walk thru  and standing in front of Shahputra MBBS Dean’s room and asking permission to enter by knocking that glass door and say ‘Assalamualaikum’ . In short, that Dean let me in and start the session.

Dr Mahmod, he asking me to introduce myself, family background, previous education and some question related to level qualification that I have. And, there have some question that really got out of my box-thinking.

1. Why you’re choosing medical field at first?
2. Before this, do you have any general knowledge related to medical field?
3. Can you tell about disease outbreak (currently) happen in Malaysia?
4. Given, emergency situation. What should you do?
5. And last, when you already graduate from MBBS Shahputra, what is your plan for next study? (if orthopedic, you’ll get spring solute from him. And don’t ask me why )
